Jim Cavanaugh is a shy suburban New Jersey teenager. His mom left when he was a child and his father is a real jerk. The unrelenting psychotic domination of his redneck father forces Jim to search out his long lost mother. His quest takes him to the backwoods of Jersey where he encounters semi-retarded hillbillies who have a taste for DIY circumcisions and Peterbilt trucks. Nobody escapes the bloodletting in this heartwarming tale of a family reunited. Sure to be a holiday classic I LOVED THIS MOVIE, the characters in this film were great, The mother is awesome and funny too although this is not a comedy it can make you laugh and give you all the horror you need, and its not a rip off of mothers day I definitly reccomend this film to all slasher fans, texas chainsaw fans, and massacre film collectors.

THE TERROR FACTOR INDIE SLASHER THAT PUSHES THE ENVELOPE

A throw back to the slasher films of the 80s. Thirty years ago, Warren Wilcox brutally murdered his parents and now he has broken out of the Mental Hospital; killing everyone in his sight. But Wilcox is not the only one who the community should be afraid of. An aspiring serial killer decides that Warren is not going to have all the fun himself and quickly starts upping the body count. When Wilcox arrives at his old childhood home, he finds a group of teens who picked the wrong night and wrong place to party. Who will be the last man standing when the two killers finally meet face to face and what is the Wilcox family secret? For the most part i really liked this movie, except at times it seemed to try too hard , like the scene where a girl is being chased by one of the killers and then out of nowhere comes this other guy with an axe , we find out its just a neighbor who tries to help ok but why was he outside at night with an axe? or the skinhead in the begining of the movie masterbating? other then that its a very cool slasher that would of been a lot cooler if they just kept it more simple, but for what i didnt like it wasnt enough to not reccomend this film, its a unique little piece and if your a slasher fan, or collector id pick this up. RANK 6.5/10

William Victor Schotten's The Brass ring (The making of -Horror documentry)

From the makers of Deadlife & Bloodlock comes an inspiring filmaking documentry, if your an indie filmaker then this is a must see, it will truely make you happy to be a filmaker and inspire you to keep your dreams alive or dead? I hightly recomend this documentry.

The Burnt House : Trailer looks very Promising!

DESTINED TO BE INGESTED COMING TO DVD OCT 5TH

This is a fun little movie, Im not sure where it was shot, but it reminded me a lot of the times ive spent in maui Hawaii, The story is about a few freinds who take a boat out to go to an island to party, what happens is they get lost and wind up on an island inhabited by Cannibals and evil forces, one by one the boaters are killed off and, eventualy the only survivor is a woman who falls in love with one of the Cannibals, or does she? will she escape them? or is it her dead freinds she will have to worry about? (did somebody say zombies) This film kept me intrested although it could of had a little more Blood, guts, and cannibilism it still works, and darn it it was pretty unique and worth checking out on Dvd in Oct just in time for Halloween!

THE LANDLORD FAILS TO RENT MY INTREST

After seeing this film had lots of awards and publicity, i was excited to see it , afterwards all i can say is the best thing about this film is the cover, dont get me wrong it was a really cool idea, a movie about an apt haunted by demons whos landlord brings in tennants for the demons to kill, the problem i had was they decided to make such a great idea into a comedy, if the demons were actualy evil and didnt talk, then this may have been easily the best horror film of the yr, but the demons were dumb people who talked and one of them even had a dogface? I guess if you can handle the not funny demons then this is a good movie maybee I just didnt get it, all i can say is its not for everyone, but obviously for some it does have six festival honors.

DEADLANDS 2 TRAPPED ME INTO WANTING MORE!

Its rare i see an indie horror film that blows me away with how great it is, Deadlands 2 did just that. I was very impressed with this film on so many levels, A perfect zombie film formula , really cool zombies, gore, atmosphere, great character build up its all here, I never saw Deadlands 1, but darn it i really want to, and after seeing Deadlands 2 trapped, I cant wait for part 3 which by the way is raising money on kickstarter right now if you wanna donate. Deadlans 2 is about  a Govt experiment (nerve gas) which is unleased upon the residents of a small town in maryland city, we follow 6 people who become trapped in a movie theater, who need to get out of town before eiether the zombies get them or the Govt does, I think if Director gary ugarek had a bigger budget we'd have a new Romero on our hands, I look fwd to more from this promising talent. SEE THIS MOVIE

US SINNERS RELENTLESS, RIVITING, TERROR

God i dont know what to say about this film, it definitly does not apologize for itself, its not a fun horror movie and its not really a scary horror movie but its damn disturbing, so depending on what you like i will say the filmakers i think prooved their point. The story is about a  guy in his mid twenties who works in retail and still lives with his mother whos  a crazy religous zealot that holds her son firmly under her spell, This guy  ends up killing prostitutes to deal with his sins, Played by the director and star of this film he did a great job & i think if this had a higher budget it would be very popular movie it just needed to be a little more fun. If you like stuff liked Hostell youll dig this movie its a little like carrie but more brutal.

SPRING BREAK MASSACRE

I myself am a huge slasher fan i grew up in the late seventies and 80's and say just about every slasher film from the hey dey of the slasher era in theaters, so im very critical when it comes to a slasher film that wasnt from 1979-83, its rare that i will come across something worthy to put in my collection, when i saw this DVD the first thing i though of was Slumber party massacre , Cheerleader massacre ect.. I saw that my favorite character from phantasm Reggie banister and 80's scream queen linnea quigley were starring in this new release slasher directed by Michael Hoffman, so I popped This into my Dvd player and crossed my fingers? after seeing the first 5 mins i knew i was in for a treat, the movie starts off with a girl drinking booze with her two guy freinds, who apparantly airent cool enough to hang around long enough for her real freinds to arrive, upset they have to be kicked out one of them slits the girls throat, 5 mins later after the perps flee a pizza delivary boy shows up (he even brought magnets) and is ultimatly blamed for the murders, talk about being in the wrong place at the wrong time? The movie then goes into a story about a girl and her freinds who decide to have a party for spring break without there boyfreinds, all the while theres an escaped killer on the loose (could it be the pizza boy) the plot takes a very intresting twist and most of the characters in this film get killed off one by one in geniune slasher style, a great tribute to the 80,s slasher era Director Michael hoffman definitly gets it and he catches the vibe better then anybody ive seen in a long time, if i was in charge of hollywood id much rather have hoffman direct something like the Halloween remake then somebody Like Rob zombie who in my opinion in lost, Kudos To Hoffman this is an excellent and fun slasher with atmosphere , humor and an extra serving of titties, If your a slasher fan like me I definitly reccomend picking this up, Reggie bannister as the town sherrif gives another great horror film preformance and linnea quigley although shes looking a bit old is still at it how cool is that I reccomend.

BLOODLOCK A GREAT NEW VAMPIRE FILM

A secret basement room, a solid titanium door, an intricate locking mechanism never meant to be unlocked... An innocent, emotionally wounded wife, her husband in sexual deceit with her sister, an honest, helpful locksmith, an old couple greedy for immortality, an evil entity trapped behind the door...

This film was directed very well, great pacing, great suspense , and awesome gore f/x , my biggist complaint with vampire films ever since the 80's is there just stupid and teenie bopper ish, not the case with Bloodlock this was a very cool story that reminded of something Hammer films might have done back in the day, i reccomend this film to any horror fan.

This movie starts off Really cool and Gives you a back story about Longshank A Vampire Hunter and His Run ins with These creatures of the night, it plays Like an Old Hammer film , We get into Modern Day In a small Az town where a group of Goth kids are dying to leave the small town there in and will try anything just to get out of there, one of the Girls Gets a book at a Garage sale and It tells her and her freinds How to conjure up These ancient Vampires, Thinking this is her ticket out of town she and her freinds go to the wilderness and do exactly that, Longshank the vampire Hunter comes to save the day Or does He? this is a fun and Entertainng film That you can Definitly Watch more then once,  appereances By Danny marianino (north side Kings) and his sidekick are priceless, Get this movie Its a Far better investment then Twilight.
Rank 7/10 and a 10 for the Boobs!

The Future is here!

I first heard of this filmaker on a site called Kickstarter Chris lamartina was trying to raise funds for his nxt feature Witch's brew and talked about his prior films which led me to research his films, I got a hold of Book of lore Grave mistakes a double feature released by Camp motion picutres, The first film Book of lore tells the story of a girl who is murderd in a small town, her freinds find a book that documents the towns murdererous lore & use it for clues on how to solve there freinds murder (Her finger nails were shoved into her eyelids), The actors were cast very well, the script was tight with a great twist ending and the creative cinemtography of Director Lamartina really shows ambition, The 2nd movie on this Double feature Dvd was Grave mistakes which is an anthology that also delivers i reccomend this to any horror fan that watches indie films and i would keep my eye on this director, forget Rob zombie the future is here and its Lamartina. Dvd includes special features & chat with Directors.
